about

This is a clip I did to showcase the t.c. electronic Nova Drive into the Koch Powertone's Gain channel - though set for a clean sound with tiny bit of hair (I use it because my clean channel is voiced really bright) I used my own preset for the Nova Drive, which is:
- Overdrive into Distortion (Serial)
OD: low drive, high level, tone up, mix 100%
DIST: reasonable drive, reasonable level, bass completely open and treble at around 20

I showcased the unit in 3 parts that are supported by the same drum loop.
- The first part is the cleanish sound into modulated reverb
- The second part is the dry distortion sound
- The third part is a dry distortion sound next to a heavily effected lead

I used the same preset in the entire clip, demonstrating that it can do cleanish sounds and heavily distorted AND that it can do leads. The external effects used were some delays (modulated analog like) and reverbs from the G-System, but the modulated reverb (featured in the beginning and on the leads in the end) are Ableton Live's Reverb that I tweaked into modulated reverb.
