about

Here's an old and crude clip I did exclusively for the sake of experimenting and getting the swells I need just right and huge. I decided to record my amp setup with 2 SM57's and tweak Ableton Live's reverb, since I noticed it had two ways of modulating the tail and the reflections. I started tweaking and eventually found out that these are the reverbs I've been longing for! They do the job extremely well.

For this video I used 1 reverb on both SM57 tracks and made 3 Return patches (which are like FX loops) which all had different reverbs on them. I then mixed in the reverbs so they meshed with the original tail - and voilà, here it is.
Return A was panned hard to the left
Return B was centered
Return C was panned hard to the right

For this clip I only used the modded MXR Dyna Comp '76 Script RI, modded DL-4 (Auto-Volume Echo), Hartman Analog Flanger, Damage Control TimeLine, the DMM and some on-board G-System reverb and delay - the rest is the Ableton Live reverbs.

These are just two guitar parts layered on top of each other, and a low synth (Nanontron, which is actually a Mellotron plugin) through a filter (you can barely hear it, but it's there, underneath it all).
